How Rentals Get Reviewed

Every car rental aggregator or airport ground-transportation service reviewed on this site was booked with my own card, on an actual trip I was taking anyway. I log aggregator price vs. the direct counter rate for the same car class on the same dates, note what actually shows up at the counter vs. what the confirmation showed, and record any upsell attempts. If the shuttle took forty-five minutes and driving out of a different lot would have been faster, that goes in the notes.

If a service overcharged me or added fees I did not agree to, I write that up regardless of whether there is a commission involved. Counter-level dishonesty is part of the record, not edited out.

What I Cannot Verify for You

Pricing changes by route, season, and how far out you are booking. My notes are from my trips on my rotation, and a deal that worked SLC-PHX on a Tuesday morning in March may not hold on a Friday afternoon in July. Treat the reviews as patterns and benchmarks, not guarantees. For questions about collision damage waivers or credit card coverage, verify directly with the counter agent or your card's benefits guide rather than relying on my experience.

Affiliate Relationships

Some links on this site are affiliate links. Book through one, I get a commission, your price stays the same. The commission does not change what ends up in the review. If a service handed me a dirty car and added a fuel charge I did not ask for, the review says so, paid link or not.
